Dean Street, Soho

Extensive evidence for the water and waste disposal systems were uncovered during renovation of this Georgian property. Sewage from a first floor privy passed down a tile-lined chute at the rear of the property, before being funnelled into a cesspit in the barrel-vaulted cellar.
